Despite having been out of action since June thanks to surgery to repair a torn labrum, Johnathan Spector has signed a new three-year contract with West Ham. The new deal extends his stay at West Ham one year, through 2011. This is good news for the young American, whose promising career has been hampered by injuries the past couple seasons.
